I am happy to introduce v0.2. Major changes: -enabled the user to delete their account -edit comments after submission -slightly tweaked stylesheet Notes: -before I update this version, you can see the latest changes at http://cypy.ath.cx/beta/ -you can see the older version at http://cypy.ath.cx/0.1/ -the stylesheets are only being developed for newer Webkit and Gecko browsers (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) so the website may look bad in Internet Explorer or other untested browsers. If you are using Internet Explorer, I would love to hear your feedback (just post it as a comment) so I can improve it for you. |

Here are my short-term goals for the site: In the "settings" tab: -enable the user to delete their account -add email address to account -password retrieval via email -set security question -edit username Server side (at this point, most of my work is behind the scenes and doesn't show up as a noticeable change to the website, but will greatly improve the potential functionality of the website): -use php sessions in addition to cookies -use secure connection when submitting passwords -encrypt passwords -find alternative to the annoying captcha -organize PHP functions (HIGH PRIORITY) -use object-oriented PHP -create 3 levels of user privileges (visitor/user/admin) and store in cookie/database Other features: -edit comments after submission -user profile pages |

| Cypress | I just realized the extent of the code I have been writing. As of now, I have one very long PHP file with a ton of useful functions that I have constructed specifically for this website. To demonstrate, I took a little screen cap of my code window. The font has been decreased to an unreadably-miniscule size (2pt) for security reasons, but it gets the point across: this is a lot of work! cypy.ath.cx/videos/code.m4v | Jan 24 05:48 |
